Sambal Goreng Labu Siam
in coconut milk braised spicy chayote

200 gr labu siam / chayote
2 chicken livers
2 gizzards, cooked
2 asam jawa
1 salam leaf
4 jeruk purut leaves
1 serai / sereh / lemongrass
500 ml coconut milk (from 1/2 coconut
3 tbsp oil

5 shallots
4 cloves of garlic
2 tsp ketumbar
1/2 tsp pepper
6 red lomboks
1 tsp terasi / trasi

Cara membuat:
Cut the chayote julienne. Slice the liver and gizzards into pieces. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste.
In a pan, heat the oil and fry the bumbu together with the salam, the jeruk purut and the serai for 5 minutes. Then add the liver and gizzards and mix well. Then add the chayote and mix well.
Then add the coconut milk and cook over low heat until the sauce has thickened and all ingrediënts are done. Serve.
