Sayur Kapau
braised beef with vegetables

250 gr shank
800 ml of water
2 salam leaf
1 kunyit leaf
4 jeruk purut leaves
2 serai / sereh / lemongrass
1000 ml of milk milk (of 1/2 coconut)
1 cm asam kandis
25 gr nangka / jackfruit
100 gr bamboo shoots
7 snake beans
4 cabbage leaves

6 shallots
4 cloves of garlic
6 red lomboks
2 cm kunyit
2 cm jahe
3 kemiri nuts
1 tsp salt

Cara membuat:
Cut the meat, the nangka, the bamboo, the snake beans and the cabbage into small pieces. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste.
Heat in a pan the water together with the meat, the bumbu, the salam, the jeruk purut, the kunyit leaf and the serai and cook the meat until tender. Then add the nangka and the bamboo and cook until done.
Then add the coconut milk and the asam kandis and bring it to the boil while stirring. Then add the snake beans and the cabbage and cook until done. Serve.
