Bawal Panggang Bumbu Taoco
fish fried in a spicy sauce
Bahan-Bahan:
ingredients:
2 pomfret/haddock (750 gr)
2 tsp asam jawa + 100ml water
2 red tomatoes
2 salam leaf
1 serai / sereh / lemongrass
2 cm jahe
2 cm Lengkuas / galangal / laos
3 tbsp taoco
150 ml coconut milk (from 1/4 coconut)
3 tbsp oil

5 shallots
4 cloves of garlic
3 red lomboks
3 green lomboks
Cara membuat:
preparation:
Clean the fish well and also remove the gills. Rub the fish with the asam water and let it soak for 15 minutes. Rinse well afterwards. Cut the tomatoes into cubes and pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste.
Heat in a pan the oil and fry the bumbu together with the tomato, serai, jahe and galangal for 5 minutes. Then add the taoco and mix well and bring to a boil.
Place the fish in a tray together with the coconut milk and the seasoned bumbu and bake the fish in the oven or over a charcoal fire for 30 minutes until done.
