Udang Petai Balado
spicy fried shrimp/prawns

500 g medium shrimp/prawns
1/2 lime, juice
1 tsp salt
26 petai / peteh beans
1 cm asam kandis
1 tsp palm sugar
2 tbsp oil

4 shallots
13 red lomboks

Cara membuat:
Peel the shrimp/prawns and slice the back in. Rub the shrimp/prawns with the lime juice and the salt and let it soak in for 25 minutes. Halve the petai beans. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste.
Heat the oil in a pan and fry the bumbu for 5 minutes. Then add the petai, the asam kandis and the palm sugar and mix well.
Then add the shrimp/prawns and continue to fry until doen and the moisture has evaporated.
