braised catfish in spicy sauce from North Sumatra

750 gr ikan Gabus / catfish
500 ml of water
2 sereh/lemongrass
50 g chives
1 tbsp asemwater
7 shallots
5 cloves garlic
4 red chilies
3 kemiri/candlenuts
1 tsp pepper
2 cm kunyit
2 cm jahe
1 tsp salt
1 tsp palm sugar
Cara membuat:
Clean the fish and cut it in two pieces. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu fine into a paste and marinate the fish and leave for at least 20 minutes.
Heat in a pan the water and cook the fish with the paste and lemongrass until the fish is almost cooked. Then add the chopped chives and the asem water and gently simmer until the fish is cooked.
