Be Sampi Membase Bali
spiced braised beef in coconut milk
Bahan-bahan:
ingredients:
250 gr base be sampi (see recipe)
800 gr beef
2 lemon grass, crushed
5 cm laos (galangal) crushed
1000 ml beef stock (see recipe)
1000 ml coconut milk
2 salam leaves
1 tsp salt
2 tsp black peppercorns, crushed
2 tbps oil

2 tbsp bawang goreng (fried shallots)
Cara membuat:
preperation/method:
Cut the meat into pieces. Heat in a wok the oil and fry the base for 3 minutes. Add the meat and fry it for 5 minutes. Then add the lemongrass, the salam and the laos and fry it for 2 more minutes. Add half of the stock and let it cook slowly until the meat is nearly done., Use the remaining stock to make sure it doesn't cook dry. Add the coconut milk and let it simmer slowly until the meat is done and the sauce has thickend. Mix in the salt and the pepper and sprinkle it with the bawang goreng and serve
