Semur Lidah
ox tongue in nutmeg sauce

2000 ml water
600 gr ox tongue
750 ml beef stock (see recipe)
4 tbsp kecap manis (sweet soy sauce)
2 tbsp kecap asin (light soy sauce)
1 tsp white pepper
1/2 tsp nutmeg
3 kaffir lime / jerut purut leaves
3 tbsp bawang goreng (fried shallots)
3 potatoes

Cara membuat:
Heat in a pan the water and add the ox tongue and let it simmer for 1 hour and let it cool down. Scrap off the skin from the tongue and cut it in thin slices. Cut the potatoes in small cubes. Heat in a wok the stock and add all ingredients except the potatoes and let it simmer slowly for 10 minutes. Then add the potatoes and let it simmer until the potatoes are cooked. Sprinkle the bawang goreng on top and serve.
