Lapis Daging Sapi
slices of beef from Surabaya

400 gr beef (tenderloin)
850ml water
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp oil
3 tbsp kecap manis
2 eggs

9 shallots
3 cloves of garlic
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper

Cara membuat:
Heat the water in a pan together with the meat and cook the meat until half done. Remove the meat from the pan and keep 750 ml stock. Then cut the meat into slices of 1x4x6 cm and flattenh them. Rub the meat with the salt and pepper and let it rest for at least 15 minutes.
Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste. Beat the eggs. Heat the butter in a pan with the oil and fry the bumbu for 5 minutes. Then add the stock and the kecap and bring to the boil while stirring.
Dip each pieces of meat in the egg and add to the stock and cook over medium heat until the meat is done and the sauce has thickened. Serve.
