Sengkel Masak Kecap Jahe
stew of spiced beef

500 gr shank
3 cm jahe
3 cloves of garlic
1 tsp salt
2000 ml of water

1/2 onion
4 cloves of garlic
2 red lomboks
5 cm jahe
2 tbsp kecap manis
1 tsp kecap asin
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp of pepper
1/2 tsp of palm sugar
1 spring onion
2 tbsp oil

Cara Membuat:
Cut the meat into pieces, grate the jahe and cut the garlic finely. Mix the meat with the jahe, garlic and salt and allow for 30 minutes to rest. Heat in a pan the water and bring to the boil. Add the meat and cook it slowly until done. Spoon the meat out of the pan and set aside as well as 100ml of broth.

Cut the onion into thin strips, garlic into slices, grate the jahe and cut the lomboks and spring onion into thin rings. Heat in a pan the oil and fry, the garlic, the lomboks and the jahe for 3 minutes. Add the meat and mix well. Then add the kecaps, salt, pepper and palm sugar and mix well. Then pour in the broth and cook it slowly until done. Add the spring onion and serve.
