Daging Masak Krengsengan
beef stew with potato in spicy sauce

400 gr beef
2 potatoes
2 red lomboks
1 salam leaf
2 cm laos
3 jeruk purut leaf
2 tbsps kecap manis
1/2 tsp petis udang
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp palm sugar
1000 ml of water

3 shallots
3 cloves of garlic
3 red rawits
1 tomato
1/4 tsp pepper

Cara Membuat:
Cut the meat into slices, the potatoes in cubes and the lomboks fine. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste. Heat in a pan sufficient oil and fry the potatoes brown and firm.
Heat in a pan 2 tablespoons of oil and fry the bumbu with the salam, the laos and the jeruk purut for 3 minutes. Add the meat and fry until the meat changes colour. Then add the kecap, the petis, the salt and the palm sugar and mix well. Then add the water, the potatoes and the lomboks and cook it until done and the sauce has thickened.
