Empal Daging Manis
dry fried sweet beef

500g shank (beef)
1000 ml santen cair (thin coconut milk)
2cm jahe
2 salam leaf
2 cm laos
2 stalks lemongrass
5 tbsp kecap manis
1 tsp salt
1 tsp palm sugar
1/2 teaspoon pepper
400 ml santen asli (thick coconut milk)
1 tbsp asemwater
9 shallots
9 cloves garlic
5 kemiri nuts
1/2 tsp shrimp paste
1 tbsp ketumbar
1/2 tsp jinten
Cara membuat:
Heat in a pan the santen cair along with the meat, jahe and the salam and cook the meat until done. Remove the meat from the pan and cut it into 1 cm thick slices.
Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu fine into a paste and add it to the santen cair with the laos, the lemon grass, the kecap, salt, palm sugar and pepper. Mix well and add the meat, followed by the santen asli and the asemwater and cook until all liquids has evaporated.
Heat oil in a pan and fry the meat golden brown.
