braised tongue in spicy creamy sauce

500g tongue (beef)
1000 ml water
1 tsp salt
2 salam leaves
2cm jahe
2 stalks lemongrass
3 jeruk purut
3 tablespoons oil
11 shallots
7 cloves garlic
3 green chilies
3 red chilies
600ml coconut milk
1/2 tsp shrimp paste
4 tbsp kecap manis
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
Cara membuat:
Heat in a pan the water and add the tongue. Let it stand for 2 minutes and remove it and remove the outer skin. Add the tongue back into to the water together with the salt, salam, the jahe, the lemongrass and jeruk purut and cook until tender. Pull the tongue out and cut into slices.
Cut the shallots and the garlic into thin slices and chopped the chilies. Heat in a pan the oil and fry the shallots and garlic for 5 minutes. Add the chilies and stir. Add the tongue and coconut milk and stir. Then add the shrimp paste, the kecap, add salt and pepper and let it simmer slowly until everything is cooked.
