in coconut milk stewed beef

500g beef shank
1000 ml water
2 salam leaves
2 sereh/lemongrass
1/2 tbsp salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
75g palm sugar
500 ml santen cair
200 ml santen asli
1 tbsp asemwater
7 shallots
6 cloves garlic
4 kemiri/candle nuts
1 tbsp ketumbar
1/4 teaspoon jinten
2 cm laos
Cara membuat:
Heat in a pan the water along with the meat, the salam and lemongrass and cook it medium well. Remove the meat from the pan and cut into slices and crush it. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu fine into a paste.
Add the meat with the paste, salt, pepper and palm sugar in 1000ml broth and cook it till the liquid has almost disappeared. Add the santen cair and let it thicken. Add the santen alsi and asemwater and cook it until the liquid is gone. Heat in a pan some oil and fry the meat brown.
