Sate Komoh
Satay beef with coconut milk sauce

500 gr beef
250 ml santen asli
250 ml water
2 jeruk purut
2 salam leaf
1 lemongrass
3 tbsp asemwater
2 red chilies
2 tablespoons oil
6 shallots
5 cloves garlic
1 tsp ketumbar
1 tsp jinten
2 cm laos
2 cm jahe
1 tsp palm sugar
1/2 tsp salt
Cara membuat:
Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu fine into a paste. Cut the meat into small pieces. Heat in a pan the oil and fry the bumbu for 3 minutes with the salam, the lemongrass and the jeruk purut. Add the meat and cook until browned. Add the santen, water and asemwater and let it simmer slowly until the sauce has thickened. Remove the meat from the pan and put it on the skewers. Roast the meat over a charcoal fire until done and golden brown. Cut the chilies finely and add to the sauce. Heat the sauce and serve it with the sate.
