Ayam Gagape
spiced stewed chicken

1 chicken
1 tbsp bawang goreng
500 ml of coconut milk
1 lime, sao
2 serai / sereh / lemongrass
1 cm lengkuas / galangal
3 salam leaves
1/2 coconut, grated and roasted
1 tbsp salt

5 cloves of garlic
7 shallots
1 tsp pepper

Cara membuat:
Cut the chicken into 8 pieces. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu fine into a paste and also pound the coconut fine.
Mix the chicken with the lime juice and the bumbu and let this rest for at least 20 minutes. Heat the coconut milk in a pan together with the serai, the laos, the salam and the salt and bring to the boil. Then add the chicken with the bumbu and the grated coconut and cook the chicken until tender. Sprinkle the bawang goreng on top and serve.
