Sate Ayam Sapit
packed chicken sate/satay

400 gr chicken thight
200 ml coconut milk
1 salam leaf
2 sereh / lemongrass
2 tsp palm sugar
1 tsp salt
2 tsp asamwater (1 tsp tamarind and 1 tbsp water)
1 egg
2 tbsp oil
14 pieces of banana leaf
14 sate skewers

4 shallots
5 cloves of garlic
4 kemiri/candlenuts
2 cm kunyit
1 tsp ketumbar
4 red lomboks
2 red rawits

Cara Membuat:
Cut the meat into pieces of 2x2cm. Beat the egg and pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste.
Heat in a pan the oil and fry the bumbu with the salam and sereh for 4 minutes. Add the chicken and fry for 2 minutes. Then add the coconut milk, the palm sugar and the salt and cook until the sauce thickens. Spoon in the asamwater. Remove the meat from the pan and put it on the skewers. Stir the egg through the sauce / marinade.
Pack the sate in banana leaf with the sauce / marinade. Roast the sate slowly over a charcoal fire until done.
