garlic butter shrimp

900 gr shrimp (large)
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp (olive) oil
1 bulb of garlic
1 tsp red chili flakes
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
125 ml soda water (7-up/sprite)

Clean the shrimp and cut off the antennae/tendrils. Rinse and let it drain well. Peel the garlic and chop it finely.
Heat the butter and oil in a pan over low heat. Then add the garlic and fry until golden brown while stirring.
Then add the shrimp over high heat and fry until they change color. Then add the soda water together with the chili flakes, salt and pepper and fry until the shrimp have turned pink and the liquid has almost been absorbed. Serve.
