Gulai Ayam Padang
chicken curry from Padang

500 gr chicken
1 kunyit leaf
2 jeruk purut leaves
1 serai / sereh / lemongrass
3 cm lengkuas / galangal / laos
1/2 tsp palm sugar
1/2 tsp asam Jawa
2 cloves
3 cm cinnamon
400 ml coconut milk (from 1/4 coconut)

4 shallots
3 cloves of garlic
2 kemiri nuts, roasted
7 lomboks
2 cm kunyit
1/2 tsp jinten, roasted
2 cm jahe
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp ketumbar, toasted
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp palmsugar

Cara membuat:
Cut the chicken into pieces. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste.
Heat the coconut milk in a pan together with the bumbu, the kunyit, the jeruk purut, the serai, the laos, the cloves, the cinnamon, the palm sugar and the asam jawa and bring to the boil while stirring.
Then add the chicken and cook the chicken until doen and until the sauce thickens.
