Pla Nam
stewed fish in a red sauce
Ingredients:
700 gr fish fillets
2 onions
4 tomatoes
2 tbsp rice vinegar
4 red lomboks, pitted
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
9 sprigs of coriander
5 tbsp oil
Preparation:
Finely chop the onions. Peel the tomatoes and chop them finely. Chop the lomboks fine. Finely chop the coriander leaves.
Heat the oil in a pan and fry the onion until golden brown and soft. Then add the tomatoes, vinegar, lomboks, salt and pepper and mix well. Close the pan and let it simmer on low heat for about 15 minutes.
Then add the fish and cover the pan again and let it simmer until the fish is cooked through. Then sprinkle the coriander on top and serve.
