Penyet Tempe Sambal Terasi
fried spiced tempe with sambal

300 g tempe
150 ml of water

3 cloves of garlic
1 tsp ketumbar
2 kemiri/candlenuts, roasted
1 tsp salt

Bahan sambal:
ingredients sambal:
10 red cabai keriting (curly cayenne pepper)
2 red rawits
3 cloves of garlic
3 shallots
2 tsp terasi / trasi bakar
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp palm sugar
1/2 tsp lime juice

Cara membuat:
Cut the tempe into 5x5x1 1/2 cm slices. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste.
Mix the tempe with the bumbu and the water. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the tempe until golden brown and done. Then roll the tempe through the sambal.

Finely chop the shallots, the garlic, the keriting and the rawits. Heat some oil in a pan and gently fry the shallots, garlic, keriting and rawits. Then pound grind it into a paste and mix in the terasi, salt and palm sugar and pound or grind it finely. Then mix in the lime juice.
