Tempe Penyet Sambal Petis
spicy fried tempeh with sambal petis

400 gr tempeh
500ml coconut milk
3 cloves garlic
1/2 tbsp salt
1 tsp ketumbar
Bahan sambal petis;
sambal ingredients:
5 red chilies (large)
5 red rawits
3 cloves garlic
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp palm sugar
2 tbsp petis
2 tbsp kecap manis
25 ml of hot water
Cara membuat:
Cut the tempeh into cubes and chop the garlic very fine. Heat the coconut milk in a pan with the garlic, salt and coriander. Stir until it becomes fragrant. Add the tempeh and cook slowly until the tempeh is almost cooked and the spices are absorbed. Lift the tempeh from the pan and drain. Heat in a pan the oil and fry the tempeh golden brown. Serve with sambal / sauce.

Preparation sambal:
Heat in a pan 1 tbsp oil and fry the chilies, the rawits and garlic for 2 minutes. Pound or grind the chilies, the rawits, garlic, palm sugar and salt into a paste. Mix in the petis with the kecap and water until smooth.
