Tumis Putren Kailan Bumbu Wijen
stir fry Chinese broccoli with corn
200g baby kailan
150g baby baby corn
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp kecap manis
1 tbsp kecap asin
200 ml chicken stock (see recipe)
1 tsp sesame oil
2 tsp sesame seeds, toasted
2 tsp cornstarch dissolved in 2 teaspoons water
1 tbsp oil
Cut the kailan into pieces and halve the baby corn. Cut the tofu into cubes and onion into thin slices. Heat in a pan the water and blanch the kailan and corn. Drain and toss on a plate.
Heat oil in a pan and fry the onion for 2 minutes. Add the tofu, oyster sauce, kecaps and mix well. Then add the broth, sesame oil and sesame seeds and bring to a boil. Add the cornstarch and cook gently until the sauce thickens. Pour the sauce over the kailan and the corn and serve.
