Semur Kacang Merah
stew with red beans and tofu

150g kacang merah (red beans / aduki beans)
1 block tahu
7 shallots
2 salam leaves
2 stalks lemongrass
3 green chilies
2cm jahe
500 ml of water
4 tbsp kecap manis
1 tsp salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 tablespoon nutmeg
5 cloves
2 tablespoons oil
4 cloves garlic
4 kemiri nuts
1/4 teaspoon jinten
Cara membuat:
Heat in a pan sufficient water, cook the beans until they are half cooked and drain. Cut the shallots into thin slices and the chilies into slanting pieces. Grind the cloves finely. Cut the tofu into cubes. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu fine into a paste.
Heat in a pan the oil and fry the shallots with the paste, the salam, the lemongrass, the chilies and the jahe for 5 minutes. Add the water, the kecap, salt, pepper, nutmeg and cloves and bring to a boil. Add the beans and tofu and cook slowly until everything iscooked.
