Sambal Udang
spicy sambal with shrimps

Bahan-bahan:
ingredients:
1000 gr large shrimps
400 ml santen asli (thick coconut milk)
2 tbsp lime juice
4 tbsp oil

Haluskan:
bumbu:
11 red lomboks
6 kemiri (candle nuts)
8 shallots
5 cloves garlic
1 tsp pepper
2 tomatoes
1 cm kunyit (curcuma)
1 cm jahe (ginger)
1 tsp trasi bakar (shrimp paste)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp palmsugar (gula jawa/bali)

Cara membuat:
preperation/method:
Clean and shell the prawns/shrimps but leave the tail end on. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste. Heat in a wok the oil and fry the bumbu for 3 minutes. Then add the shrimps and fry them red. Add the santen and the lime juice and let is simmer slowly until it is cooked and the sauce has thickened enough.
