Cumi Masak Kalio
squid stewed in coconut milk

500 gr squid
850 ml coconut milk (from 1 coconut)
1 kunyit leaf
2 jeruk purut leaves
1 serai/sereh/lemon grass
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp palm sugar
1 asam kandis

7 shallots
4 cloves of garlic
10 red lomboks
4 cm kunyit, roasted
1 tsp ketumbar
2 cm jahe
2 cm lengkuas/laos

Cara membuat:
Clean the squid. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste.
Heat in a pan the coconut milk together with the bumbu, the jeruk purut, the kunyit leaf and the serai and bring it to the boil while stirring.
Then add the squid and stir until the sauce thickens. Then add the salt, palm sugar and asam kandis and cook until the sauce has thickened and turns golden brown. Serve.
