Daging Totok
fried beef strips with coconut
Bahan-bahan:
ingredients:
500 gr beef eye fillet
3 cloves garlic
5 shallots
2 tsp lime rind
3 cm jahe (ginger)
2 tsp ketumbar (coriander)
1 cm kunyit (turmeric)
2 tsp palmsugar
100 gr grated coconut
125 ml santen (coconut milk)
3 tbsp arachide oil

Cut the meat into thin slices. Pound or grind the garlic, the jahe, the ketumbar, the palmsugar and 2 tbsp oil fine into a paste. Mix in the lime rind and the meat and let it marinate for 1 hour. Slice the shallots into thin strips.
Heat in a wok the oil and fry the meat brown and remove it. Add the grated coconut and the shallots and fry it for 1 minute. Add the meat and the santen and let it simmer slowly until heated through.
