Asem-Asem Pedas Udang 
prawns in spicy sauce

250 gr shrimp/prawns
500 ml of water
3 shallots
6 red lomboks
1/2 tbsp terasi / trasi
1 tbsp salt
3 red rawits
4 cm lengkuas / galangal / laos
3 asam jawa
3 cloves of garlic

Cara membuat:
Cut the shallots and the garlic into thin slices. Pound or grind the lomboks, the terasi and the salt into a paste.  Clean the shrimp/prawns.
Heat in a pan the water together with the shallots, the garlic, the pasta, the laos and the asam and bring to the boil. Then add the prawns and cook until they change colour. Then add the rawits and cook it until done.
