Satia Bia Merah
sate of mussels / clams from the Moluccas
600 gr mussels / clams
300 ml santen
5 tbsp oil
4 cloves garlic
1 tsp salt
Heat in a pan the water along with a piece of charcoal. Add the clams and drain after the shells are open. Remove the meat.
Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste and mix it with the santen. Heat a pan and add the mixture with the claims and cook until tender.
Thread the claims on a skewer and baste it with oil. Roast the satay over a charcoal fire for a few minutes.
