Ikan Masak Belanak Acar Kuning
fried fish in a yellow-green herb sauce

1 mullet
1 tsp asemwater
1/2 tsp salt
1 salam leaf
3 shallots
6 green rawits
300 ml of water
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp palm sugar
1/4 teaspoon vinegar
2 tablespoons oil
5 shallots
3 cloves garlic
4 kemiri/candle nuts
2c m kunyit
1/2 cm jahe
1 cm galangal
Cara membuat:
Clean the fish and divide it into four portions. Marinate the fish with the asemwater and salt and let it rest for 15 minutes. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu fine into a paste. Slice the shallots and rawits into thin slices. Heat in a pan the oil and fry the fish and set it aside.
Heat in a pan the oil and fry the paste with the salam for 3 minutes. Add the shallots and the rawits and fry it for 2 mnuten. Then add the water, salt and palmsugar and bring to a boil. Add the fish and cook it till the liquid has almost evaporated. Stir in the vinegar and serve.
