400 gr beef
3 tbsp palmsugar syrup
3 salam leaves
1 tsp asem / tamarind
3 tbsp water
4 tbsp oil

3 shallots
6 cloves garlic
1 tbsp ketumbar (coriander)
2 tsp jinten (cumin)
1 tsp salt
4 kemiri (candlenuts)

Cara membuat:
Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste. Miz the asem with the water. Cut the meat into thin slices. Mix the bumbu with the meat, the salam, the palmsugar and the asemwater and let in rest for 15 minutes.
Heat in a wok 1 tbsp oil and add the meat and let it cook slowly until the meat has cooked and all liquids have evaporated. Remove the meat and add the oil. Fry the meat in the oil golden brown and serve.
