Daging Bumbu Kujo
beef in a spicy creamy sauce

500 gr beef
4 shallots
4 cloves of garlic
3 red lomboks
3 salam leaf
3 jeruk purut leaves
500 ml coconut milk (from 1/2 coconut)
3 belimbing wuluh
150 gr grated coconut, toasted and mashed
5 tbsp oil

1 tbsp ketumbar, toasted
1/2 tsp jinten, toasted
20 star anise, toasted
1 tsp pepper, toasted
4 cloves
2 cm cinnamon
2 cardamom
1 cabai jawa/Javanese long pepper
3 kemiri/candlenuts, toasted
3 cm lengkuas/laos
2 cm kunyit
3 red lomboks
1 serai/sereh/lemon grass, white part
4 shallots
4 cloves of garlic
2 cm jahe/ginger
1 cm kencur

Cara membuat:
Cut the meat into 10 pieces. Cut the shallots, garlic and lomboks into thin slices. Cut the belimbing into slices. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste.
Heat the oil in a pan and fry the shallots, garlic and lomboks for 4 minutes. Then add the bumbu, salam and jeruk purut and fry for 6 minutes.
Then add the coconut milk and bring it to the boil while stirring. Then add the meat and cook over low heat until done and until the sauce has thickened.
Then add the belimbing and grated coconut and mix well and cook until done. serve.
