Toppa Lada Makassar
slices of beef in a spicy sauce

500 gr beef
2 red lomboks
2 serai/sereh/lemon grass
1 salam leaf
2 jeruk purut leaves
6 cm lengkuas/laos/galangal
2 tbsp palm sugar
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp asam water
400ml water
3 tbsp oil

7 shallots
5 cloves of garlic
8 red lomboks
5 red rawits
3 kemiri/candlenuts
1 tsp ketumbar
1/2 tsp jinten

Cara membuat:
Cut the meat into thin slices. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste. Cut the lomboks into thin slices.
Heat in a pan the oil and fry the bumbu together with the serai, the salam, the laos and the jeruk purut for 6 minutes. Then add the meat and fry until it changes color. Then add the water and bring it to a boil.
Then add the asam water, the salt and the palm sugar and continue cooking over low heat until the meat is tender and the sauce has thickened. Then mix in the lomboks and serve.
