Kalio Daging Sapi
beef in a spicy thick creamy sauce

1000 gr beef
300 ml thick coconut milk (kental)
2 serai/sereh/lemon grass
4 jeruk purut leaves
2 salam leaf
1 kunyit leaf
6 cm lengkuas/laos/galangal
8 cm cinnamon
2 star anise
5 cloves
4 cardamom
2 tsp salt
1 tbsp palm sugar

11 shallots
5 cloves of garlic
15 red lomboks
11 red rawits
7 cm jahe
9 cm kunyit, roasted
6 kemiri nuts, toasted
1 tbsp ketumbar, toasted
1/2 tsp jinten, toasted

Cara membuat:
Cut the meat into cubes. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste.
Heat in a pan the coconut milk together with the bumbu, the serai, the jeruk purut, the laos, the kunyit leaf, the salam, the cinnamon, the star anise, the cloves and the cardamom and bring it to a boil over low heat.
Then add the meat and mix well. Cover the pan and let it marinate for 30 minutes (turn off the heat). Then bring it back to a boil over low heat.
Then mix in the palm sugar and salt and cook until the sauce has thickened, the oil is released and the meat is tender. Serve.
