Gulai Balak
beef stew 

500g beef
5 cloves garlic
5 shallots
1 cardamom
3 cloves
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 tsp salt
1 tsp palm sugar
1 tbsp asam water
800 ml water
300ml coconut milk
2 tablespoons oil
2 cm laos
2cm jahe
2cm kunyit
5 red chilies
3 red rawits
Cara membuat:
Cut the meat into cubes, shallots and garlic into thin slices. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu fine into a paste.
Heat in a pan the oil and fry the shallots, garlic, cardamom, cloves, nutmeg and the paste for 4 minutes. Add the meat and fry until brown. Then add the water, the salt and palm sugar and cook the meat almoste done. Then add the coconut milk and the asam water and cook slowly until done.
