ribs in spicy sauce

1000 gr beef ribs
1 tbsp asemwater
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp kecap manis
11 shallots
2 lemongrass
3 salam leaves
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
800 ml water
2 tablespoons oil
6 cloves garlic
8 red chilies
6 kemiri/candlenuts
2 cm jahe/ginger
1/2 tsp jinten/cumin
Cara membuat:
Marinate the meat with the asemwater, salt and kecap and let it rest for 30 minutes. Cut the shallots into thin slices. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu fine into a paste.
Heat in a pan the oil and fry the shallots, the salam, the lemongrass and the paste for 5 minutes. Add the meat and stir well. Pour in the water slowly, add salt and pepper and let it simmer until the meat is tender and the sauce has thickened.
