beef with coconut from North Sumatra

500g beef
500 ml of water
3 jeruk purut/kaffir lime
2 salam leaves
1 tbsp ketumbar
1/2 coconut
3 tablespoons oil
5 shallots
5 cloves garlic
9 red chilies
6 red rawits
3 cm jahe
2 cm laos
2 cm kunyit
2 sereh
2 tsp salt
1 tsp palm sugar
Cara membuat:
Grate the coconut and mix it with the coriander and fry it dry in a pan. Cut the meat into cubes. Pound or grind the Ingredients for the bumbu fine into a paste.
Heat in a pan the oil and fry the bumbu with the salam and the jeruk purut for 5 minutes. Add the meat and cook for 3 minutes. Pour water and simmer the meat. When the liquid has reduced by half, then add the coconut and cook further until the meat is cooked and the sauce has thickened.
