braised beef in coconut milk

500 gr beef shank
250 g potatoes
2 salam leaves
2 lemongrass
2 cm laos
1 tbsp salt
1 tbsp palmsugar
1500 ml santen cair
250 ml santen asli
2 tbsp oil
10 shallots
5 cloves garlic
1 1/2 tsp ketumbar
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon jinten
3 cm jahe
Cara membuat:
Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste. Cut the meat into large chunks and the potatoes into cubes.
Heat in a wok / wadjan the oil and fry the paste along with the salam, lemongrass and galangal for 3 minutes. Add the meat and fry it brown. Add the santen cair with the salt and the palmsugar and cook until its reduced in half. Then stir in the santen asli and let it simmer until done. Serve.
