Ayam Bali

Bahan-bahan:
ingredients:
1 chicken about 1.2 kilos divided into 8 pieces
400 ml thin coconut milk (santen cair)
3 tbsp lime juice
1 tbsp gula jawa (palm sugar)
4 tbsp oil
salt
Haluskan:
bumbu:
2 shallots, chopped
1 tbsp grated jahe (ginger)
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
3 lomboks (spanish peppers) chopped
4 kemirie (candlenuts), roasted and mashed
2 tablespoons kecap bentang manis (soy sauce)
Taburan:

Bawang goreng (fried onions)
Cara membuat:

Rub the chicken with salt. Heat in a wok the oil and fry the chicken brown on all sides. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu to a paste. Remove the chicken from the wok and fry the paste. Add the gula jawa, the lime juice, salt to taste and coconut milk. Bring to the boil and add the chicken back into the pan and let it simmer for 20-25 minutes. The liquid should reduce by half. Sprinkle before serving the bawang goreng on top.
