pieces of chicken in a spicy sauce

750 gr chicken breast
400 ml water
250 ml santen asli (thick coconut milk)
6 shallots
2 sereh (lemongrass)
3 jeruk purut / kaffir lime leaves
2 tbsp oil

2 cm kunir (bitterroot)
3 cm laos (galangal)
2 red lomboks
5 kemiri (candlenuts)
1/2 tsp trasi (shrimp paste)
salt to taste

Cara membuat:
Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste. Slice the shallots fine and cut the meat into poeces. Heat in a wok the oil and fry the bumbu with  the shallots for 3 minutes. Add the chicken, the sereh, the jeruk purut and the water and let it simer slowly for 10 minutes. Then add the santen and let it simmer until the meat is done and the sauce has thickened.
