Lontong Kare Ayam
chicken curry with lontong/rice cakes

1 chicken
100 gr of green beans
2 salam leaves
4 jeruk purut
2 sereh stalks
4 tsp salt
1 tsp palmsugar
2500 ml of coconut milk
6 tbsp oil
9 shallots
9 garlic cloves
3 cm kunyit
4 kemiri nuts
2 tsp ketumbar
1/2 tsp jinten
1 tsp pepper
3 cm jahe
1 cm galangal
3 red chilies
8 pieces lontong/rice cakes (see recipe)
4 tablespoons bawang goreng
8 pieces Krupuk Udang
Cara membuat:
Cut the chicken into 16 pieces and the green beans in diagonally cut pieces. Pound or grind the ingredients for the paste into a paste.
Heat in a pan the oil and fry the paste with the salam, the lemongrass and jeruk purut for 5 minutes. Add the chicken and fry until brown. Then add the green beans and fry them soft. Then add the coconut milk, the salt and palmsugar and cook slowly until tender. Sprinkle the bawang goreng on top and serve with the lontong and the krupuk
