Ayam Masak Tengkleng
spicy stewed chicken

1 chicken
2 cm cinnamon
1 star anise
2 salam leaf
2 cm lengkuas/laos/galangal
2 serai/sereh/lemon grass, white part
3 jeruk purut leaves
1 tbsp salt
1 tbsp kecap manis
1/2 tsp pepper
750ml water
250 ml coconut milk (from 1/2 coconut)
2 tbsp oil

7 shallots
5 cloves of garlic
3 kemiri nuts, roasted
1 tsp ketumbar, toasted
1/2 tsp jinten
2 cm jahe
2 cm kunyit, toasted
3 red rawits

Cara membuat:
Cut the chicken into 12 pieces. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste.
Heat the oil in a pan and fry the bumbu together with the cinnamon, star anise, salam, sera, laos and jeruk purut for 5 minutes.
Then add the chicken and cook, while stirring, until it changes color. Then add the kecap, salt and pepper and mix well.
Then add the water and bring to a boil over low heat. Then add the coconut milk and cook while stirring until done. Serve.
