Sup Daging Asam Pedas
Spicy sour meat soup

200 gr beef (breast)
3 green tomatoes
1 sweet corn (cooked)
5 cloves of garlic
4 shallots
2 green lomboks
1 red lombok
5 red rawits
1 sereh/lemongrass (white part)
2 salam leaves
2 cm laos/galangal
5 jeruk purut/kaffir lime leaves
2 tsp salt
1 tsp palm sugar
1 spring onion
1 tbsp lime juice
1 tbsp kecap manis
750 ml of water
750 ml chicken stock (see recipe)
2 tbsp oil
Cara Membuat:
Cut the meat into thin slices, the tomatoes in pieces, the garlic and shallots in thin slices, the lomboks in slanted rings. Pound or grind rawits and laos fine. Cut the spring onion into pieces. Remove the corn kernels from the cob.
Heat in a pan the oil and fry the garlic, the shallots, the lomboks, the rawits, the sereh, the salam, the laos and the jeruk purut for 4 minutes. Add the meat and fry until it changes colour. Add the tomatoes and the corn and fry them until soft.
Then add the water, the broth, the kecap, the salt and the palm sugar and cook it slowly until done. Then spoon in the spring onion and the lime juice and serve.
