Sayur Bening katuk Jagung
spicy vegetable soup with corn and katuk

2 bunches katuk / star gooseberry (sauropus androgynus)
100g maize
1 carrot
1200 ml of water
3 cloves garlic
3 shallots
2 cm fingerroot
2 red chilies
3 tsp salt
2 tsp palm sugar
1 tbsp Bawang Goreng
Cara membuat:
Cut the shallots, garlic and carrot into thin slices and the chilies into strips.
Heat in a pan the water and add the garlic, shallots, fingerroot, the chilies, salt and palm sugar and bring to a boil. Add the corn and carrot and cook until nearly done. Add the katuk and cook until tender. Sprinkle the bawang goreng on top and serve.
