sweet snacks of fermented sticky rice with palmsugar
1000 ml santen asli (thick coconut milk)
300 gr palmsugar
1500 ml water
500 gr tape (fermented sticky rice)
1 vanille stick
Banana leaf / baking paper
Heat in a wok the santen and add the vanille stick. Simmer the santen slowly until it has thickened and turned brown. Heat in a pan the water and disolve the palmsugar. Add the mixture with the santen and let it simmer slowly until it is a sticky mass. Mix in the tape until it is not sticky anymore. Let it cool down. Put 1 tbsp of the mixture on a piece of bananan leaf / baking paper and fold it close.
