Pindang Serani
fish in a yellow sauce with herbs

500 gr milkfisgh or mullet
2 tbsp lime juice
750 ml water
2 sereh (lemongrass), bruised
1 cm laos (galangal), bruised
3 cm jahe (ginger)
6 cm kunyit (turmeric)
8 shallots
4 cloves garlic
2 tomatoes
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp palmsugar

Cara membuat:
Rub the fish in with the salt and the limejuice and let it rest for 20 minutes. Grate the jahe and the kunyit. Cut the shallots and the garlic in thin slices.
Heat in a wok the water and add all ingredients and let it simmer slowly until the sauce turns yellow. Add the fish and let it simmer slowly until the fish is cooked, then serve.
