Dendeng Ragi
spicy beef with coconut

500 gr sirloin steak
3 shallots
1 red lombok (large chilie)
200 gr grated coconut
6 tbsp oil
250 ml water

1 tbsp asem / tamarind
1 tbsp ketumbar (coriander)
1/2 tbsp jinten (cumin)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper

Cara membuat:
Heat in a pan the water and cook the meat for 30 minutes. Then cut it into pieces. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste and divide it into 2 portions. Cut tje shallots and the lombok fine. Rub the meat in with one portions of the bumbu and mix the other portion with the shallots, the lombok and the cococnut.
Heat in wok the oil and fry the meat for 15 minutes. Then add the remaining ingredients and fry it until the meat is done and the coconut turned brown.
