Gandik Bumbu Aceh
braised beef in a sour sauce

900 gr of beef
100 g butter
1000 ml of water
10 asam sunti

5 red lomboks
15 shallots
7 cloves of garlic
2 cm kunyit
1/4 tsp salt

Cara membuat:
Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste. Mix the meat with the bumbu and the butter and leave for 30 minutes.
Heat in a pan the water and add the seasoned meat and cook the meat nearly done. Scoop out of the pan and cut into thin slices (1 cm thick) and add it together with the asam sunti back into the pan. Cook on low heat until done and until the sauce has thickened. Serve.
