Tumis Daging Krecek
spiced stewed beef

300g beef (fatty cut)
600 ml water
50 g Krecek (crackers of rawhide)
3 jeruk purut / kaffir lime leaves
1 lemongrass 
1 tsp salt
1 tsp palm sugar
200 ml beef stock (see recipe)
300ml coconut milk
1 tbsp asemwater
2 tablespoons oil
3 candlenuts
1 cm kunyit
6 shallots
4 cloves garlic
1 tsp ketumbar
9 green chilies
Cara membuat:
Cut the meat into small cubes. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu fine into a paste.
Heat in a pan the water and cook the meat tender, but not cooked. Heat in a pan the oil and fry the paste with the jeruk purut and lemongrass for 5 minutes. Add this to the meat and mix. Then add the salt and palm sugar, followed by the stock and coconut milk and cook slowly until nearly done. Then add the krecek and asemwater and cook until done.
