Semur daging sapi
stew with beef and potatoes

1000 gr beef
300 gr potatoes
10 tbsp kecap manis
4 cm laos / galangal
5 salam leaves
4 lemongrass stalks
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp jinten
500 ml water
5 cm jahe / ginger
13 shallots
7 cloves of garlic
1/2 tsp trasi / shrimp paste
7 kemiri / candle nuts, toasted
5 tbsp bawang goreng, fried shallots
Cara membuat:
Cut the meat into slices and the potatoes into cubes. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste. Roast the peppers and jinten and grind it fine.
Mix the meat with the bumbu, the salt, the kecap and the oil. Heat a pan and add the meat with the marinade, the galangal, lemon grass and the water and let it simmer up slowly until the meat is cooked. Then add the potatoes and gently simmer until cooked. Stir in the pepper and the jinten.
Sprinkle the bawang gorng on top and serve.
