Semur Daging Pontianak
Stewed beef from West Kalimantan

400 gr beef
3 cloves of garlic
3 shallots
2 tomatoes
1/2 star anise
3 tbsp kecap manis
1 tsp salt
1 tsp palm sugar
500 ml of water
1 tsp asamwater
2 tbsp oil

1 tsp ketumbar
1/2 tsp jinten
1/4 tsp fennel
3 kemiri/candlenuts
1/4 tsp cinnamon
3 cloves
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp nutmeg

Cara Membuat:
Cut the meat into slices, the shallots and garlic into thin slices and cut the tomatoes into pieces. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste.
Heat in a pan the oil and fry the garlic, the shallots, the bumbu and the star anise for 4 minutes. Add the tomatoes and fry them until soft. Then add the meat and fry it until it changes color.
Then add the kecap, salt and palm sugar and mix well. Then slowly add the water and cook slowly until done. Spoon in the asamwater and let it simmer for another 2 minutes.
